April 11, 2022 -- HI!

This week was interesting! A little disappointing because almost every single one of our appointments fell through. Its hard to help people change when you can't meet with them!! It seems really silly and simple but yesterday I said a prayer that we'd see a miracle and the person we were calling picked up. It's the simple things that let you know God is aware of you.

Also, yesterday one of our friends brought her baby to church to be blessed and it was so sweet. We're working with this family and it is tender to see the slow but sure changes that the Gospel of Christ is making in their lives. This week we had an asado (bbq) with them and they sent us home with plants!

This is what I was wearing when we went to visit them. They live about 20 minutes away by bus and when I got on this bus an older lady hopped up and offered me her seat. I was really confused why but she insisted that I take it so I sat down and she got off at the next stop. THEN the woman sitting next to me whispered to me, "she gave you her spot because we thought you were pregnant. Only pregnant women wear dresses like that!!"

That was a SLAP in my face my friends. For the record... I am in fact not pregnant, and am in fact a missionary.

The theme of Christ as our REDEEMER still resonates in my heart this week.

This passage from the Book of Mormon (Mormon 9:12-13) says:

"Behold, he created Adam, and by Adam came the fall of man. And because of the fall of man came Jesus Christ, even the Father and the Son; and because of Jesus Christ came the redemption of man. And because of the redemption of man, which came by Jesus Christ, they are brought back into the presence of the Lord; yea, this is wherein all men are redeemed, because the death of Christ bringeth to pass the resurrection, which bringeth to pass a redemption from an endless sleep, from which sleep all men shall be awakened by the power of God when the trump shall sound; and they shall come forth, both small and great, and all shall stand before his bar, being redeemed and loosed from this eternal band of death, which death is a temporal death."

Happy Easter this week!!

Because of Christ's death and resurrection we are redeemed. I love ya!! Send me a message to hear more about the role of Christ and His Atonement in God's plan of happiness for us!
