HOOOOOLA mis amigos!
This is gonna be a short one because we just got home from a rodeo and p-day ends in 5 minutes but WOW what a week. Here's a few highlights!!
1. On our walk home from district council, Hermana Palmer and I saw a woman slumped over in her car, while it was still running, at a stop light. Long story short: we called 911, the emergency responders came, they knocked on the woman's window, and then she woke up and drove away!! We were just like ???
2. We met several families this week from Argentina and they are so so sweet. They tell us about the culture and the people and the food and I start itching to be there, but I know there's a reason that the Lord needs me here. One day though I hope, keep your fingers crossed for me!!
3. I ran into the Smith family from home! It was so so fun and they are such a sweet family. Their love for Christ is so apparent and they glow with that love.
4. WE WENT TO A RODEO!!!!! It was so much fun! What made it even better was a super kind man bought our tickets for us. Mackina if you're reading this, I immediately thought of you when the mutton busters came out!! All in all such a fun night and week.
Just a thought from this week.
Acts 5:41
And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.
Peter and the apostles REJOICED in their suffering because they knew that it was for His sake to bring forth Christ's gospel. My trials don't at all compare to theirs, but it brings me peace to know that everything for a wise purpose: to further Christ's work among His people.
Rejoice in your trials. Its through the furnace of affliction that we are refined and become who God wants us to become.
Have a blessed week! I love you!
Hermana Amy Tracy
