AUGUST 29, 2022

I loved this week!

We've started teaching the loves of my life, Vanessa and Luis. They are a young couple and love the Book of Mormon. When we were teaching them this week my heart was so filled and I'm so grateful. They want to get married and then baptized so we're starting the process. PLEASE PRAY FOR THEM.

The other is that walking home from an appointment this week and out of nowhere for our 30 min walk just dumped on us pouring rain. As I looked up in to the sky the clouds looked like a painting. I felt really deeply the majesty of God. And then it starts HAILING and I changed my mind.  Ha Ha, just kidding !

Yesterday, we were out in Polinesias and these party trucks come rolling through the neighborhoods. They're honking their horns and as you get closer you can hear their singing gloria hallelujah stuff like that -- just making a ruckus. And people are coming out of their houses and jumping on!!!  The tactics here to get people to come to church are effective I'll give 'em that.

I've really fallen in love with the people here and the work. Three months to go and I wanna make the most of it!

AUGUST 22, 2022 -- HI

AGENCY. I hate it that people choose the wrong!! It's just because we want them to be happy that we're here sharing, we're not here to convert anyone. We're here to show them a way of life that will bring them so much more! Peace and joy in this life and eternal life in the world to come!

But that's okay, I literally know one day I'll stand before God and just be like -- hey I tried to tell 'em!

Went on exchanges this week to La Falda with Hermana Nuttall and also went to the Temple! It was wonderful. This is probably my last time in the Temple on my mission because it's closing for renovations late September!

Also ward conference yesterday and other cool stuff. We had a schedule change! Instead of waking up at 7 am as a mission we now wake up at 6:30 am, r.i.p!

Much love!

Hard week but a good week!

Opposition and learning from things that feel hard is good

2 Nephi 2:11
For it must needs be, that there is an opposition in all things. If not so, my firstborn in the wilderness, righteousness could not be brought to pass, neither wickedness, neither holiness nor misery, neither good nor bad...

We were rejected a lot a lot

Had to stop visiting a lot of people

And the amount of times dogs came after us this week is impressive

But we also got to share lunches with people we love!

Had a really?? awesome?? lesson?? with a lady who is a Jehovah's Witness and we taught her the restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and God calling modern day prophet only out of the Bible

Had a birthday party with some members of our ward

The hard makes the sweet even sweeter

LOVE YOU GUYS!!

Today I dyed Hna Fleitas' hair😎

AUGUST 8, 2022 -- :)

The days were slow but the week flew! It was rough, basically every appointment falling through and being disappointed by a couple friends we thought were really progressing.

But we had two miracles, two days in a row ðŸ™Œ
Saturday morning our appointments fell through, and our backup plans too: (we clapped the door -- you don't really knock here) of one of our last friends and they didn't answer so we went to talk to their neighbor, a really sweet humble woman with three kids. We go inside and begin to share and from the back of the house comes out her sister. She says wait... I recognize your face! And pulls up a picture of us. We had solicited to learn more about prayer from us and casually we find her in her sisters house?!?! It doesn't sound that crazy but in the moment it was so crazy awesome cool. And they accepted the invitation to be baptized so we'll see where it goes

Then Sunday night, we went to an appointment and the lady we had set it with didn't let us in so we went down the street to one of her neighbors that we had met once the week before. We got to her house and saw cars outside and fully expected to be rejected but we ring the door bell and she comes right out and says pasen hermanas!!! (Come in Sisters!) And we come inside and meet her family and everyone's saying HOLA HERMANAS!!!! and we're like ???? HOLA!!!! Turns out! The son and wife of our friend had been previously taught by the missionaries and said that they wanted to start again! We invited them to read the Book of Mormón and the head of the household to offer a kneeling prayer at the end of our visit. And in his prayer he says and I HAVE FAITH THE BOOK IS TRUE and I just died of happiness.

After a week of rejection it did my heart a lot of good and I knew in a really profound way that God was putting people in our path. That coincidences aren't real. Literally entering into the houses of basically strangers and finding the elect of God.

Christ said through His profeta, Joseph Smith:
"And even so will I gather mine elect from the four quarters of the earth, even as many as will believe in me, and hearken unto my voice.
Yea, verily, verily, I say unto you, that the field is white already to harvest; wherefore, thrust in your sickles, and reap with all your might, mind, and strength"

I'm grateful!! To be!! A missionary!!

I love you guys!! Email me!

AUGUST 1, 2022

HI!! I'm in the dumps this week because our friends with baptismal dates aren't responding...🥲

But we had an awesome Sacrament Meeting yesterday (Sunday service) and we had a member of our ward give us fifteen referrals??? Which is so awesome!!

Today we went and played around in Córdoba, we live just outside of the city center and I've discovered I'm a world class barterer. That's one of the things I love about Argentina! Also grocery shopping you can tell the vendor HI! I just want two dollars worth of bread or cheese or whatever it is and and there ya have it.

I have been called and whistled at more times this week than I have been in my entire life, which is also funny because I'm chubbier than I've ever been too haha. #goals

Also Zone Conference and lots of other fun stuff. We're walking an average of five miles everyday so that's also tuff in a skirt and dress shoes

But I'm happy!! Jesus loves you! I love you too!
