JUNE 20, 2022 -- HI !!

We had a mission conference this week which was such a blast!! I love getting to be with my compañeros!! There really is such a special feeling about getting all together. We are having a change of Mission Presidents in July so it was one last good one with President Hintze and the next will be with  President Zanni!

I only have five months until I come home, it's a weird thought!! Who could've guessed it'd go by this fast?? The days are slow but the weeks and months fly.

Yesterday, we went to an asado (bbq) for Father's day at our friend Miguel's house. We got to meet his family and eat like kings (seriously I wish you guys could try it Argentines do not mess around with their meat). I also tried intestine and it wasn't that bad.

We started this week with six people with baptismal dates and ended with two. Agency is real! Our little family that we're teaching is doing alright and we have one friend, Carina, that is really progressing and I see a lot of hope in her. 

Life's good. Routine is good. My Spanish is wicked, I honestly can't even believe it -- God is so good. I think about starting the MTC and being confused about grammar I'd never heard before and now it's second nature. The gift of tongues is real.

JUNE 13, 2022 ~~ THE LORD PUTS PEOPLE IN YOUR PATH

This week I only want to share about our friend who lives on our street.

I love being a missionary because really you can just talk with everyone and most people will stop and have a conversation! Well last Sunday we were walking down our road and we see two adults and two kids hop off a motorcycle so we just go up and say hi! It's a mom a dad and their two kids, seven and five years old.

The mom invites us in and we just talk! We get to know her and her kids and I'm just falling in love. We talked about Jesus and about how she doesn't have a religious background but just really wants to learn. We teach her how to pray and she offers the sweetest prayer I've heard. We left a pamphlet, a copy of the Book of Mormon and an invitation to read and pray.

This story isn't a crazy one but we've gone back and taught her three more times and she's reading the Book of Mormon. When we came back her kids had drawn little pictures of us and of God and Jesus. 

She's so humble, her family needs the blessings the gospel brings, and she is willing to put forth the little bit of sacrifice to achieve it. 

This is something we shared with her from the second chapter in the Book of Mormon

1 Nephi 2:19

"And it came to pass that the Lord spake unto me, saying: Blessed art thou, [insert your name], because of thy faith, for thou hast sought me diligently, with lowliness of heart."

Such pure faith and trust I havent seen in a long time. It makes me so happy just thinking about this young family and that God cares about them (and all of us). But I just can see it in her eyes that God is working in her. That she is willing to follow her Savior. 

So that's my miracle. Acts of faith from my friend down the street. I really hope and pray she can stay strong and keep progressing.

JUNE 6, 2022 -- WELCOME TO JUNE!!

Happy Birthday to my Dad!! Yesterday!

I don't have very many pictures this week because our phone got stolen but we're just vibing! I'm honestly surprised this is the first time we got robbed! Because it do be extremely normal in this area!

This week was my companion's birthday and members of the ward and other of our friends gave us SIX Cakes. We're up to our ears in dulce de leche and frosting and we've started bringing cake to give away in appointments! haha!

My testimony has grown so much this week. It's so wonderful seeing what we're doing making a difference. God's in all the details.
