August 24, 2021 -- GUAU (pronounced gwow)

Can I just say guau. These past two weeks have been insane. I have a new companion and her name is Hermana Munns. She is fresh out of the Mexico MTC so that makes me... a trainer! We have been together for almost a week and she is just a rock star.

As a trainer, I'm basically just helping her learn the ins and outs of Temple Square and missionary work her but truly we are learning so much together. As we testify together about Jesus Christ, there is power. It is so amazing to see the look on a person's face and visibly seeing that something we said just clicked. It clicked that THEY HAVE a Father in heaven who loves them and that He has a plan for them. The Book of Mormon truly is a manifestation of God's love and plan for all of us.

A scripture I love this week from the Book of Mormon is 2 Nephi 22:2 (also found in Isaiah 12:2). It says:

"Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid; for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also has become my salvation."

Trust and don't be afraid. He has a plan for you! Trust that through Him, you can do hard things. Things you could NEVER do on your own. Reading the Book of Mormon will allow you to grow closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ more than you ever have before and you'll be able to better understand that plan. You'll have strength to overcome. You'll be able to find peace in hard times.

Have a blessed week. I love you all dearly.

1. Just Sis Munns and I chillin today in our coordinating outfits (i love matching so much hehehe)

2. Sister Palmer and I with three SWEET Hermanas. We gave them a virtual tour in Spanish. The Spirit was so strong their testimonies were so sweet.

3. Sister Knapp and I playing in the rain during dinner time. We went on exchanges while we waited for our Goldens (new missionaries for us to train) to arrive!

4. Sister Olson (top left) one of my favorite people in the world left from Temple Square to her original assignment in Brazil! I miss her sorely but GUAU she is SO needed there.

August 10, 2021

Hey Friends!! I think this is my first real email thats going out because I couldn't figure it out before haha.

Anyway, I have been here at Temple Square in Salt Lake for over a month! Its CRAZY how fast the time has gone by. Its so amazing to have this time to put real life on hold and focus on serving the Lord and helping others grow closer to Jesus Christ.

Im originally assigned to serve in Argentina, so I wear the flag underneath my nametag. Even just wearing that flag opens so many opportunities and I speak with Argentinians almost every day. Still workin on the spanish tho let me tell you my first day in Salt Lake we went grocery shopping and this man came up and talked to us for 30 mins SOLO EN ESPANOL. I had gotten a total of 1 1/2 hours of sleep that day and my brain hurt so bad listening to him. My truly heart goes out to you friends fr in mexico and paraguay and costa rica and in the dominican republic who rly are immersed.

My fav scripture at the moment is: Hebrews 5:8-9 "Though He were a Son, yet learned He obedience by the things which He suffered; And being made perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him."

Christ can unlock the doors to eternal salvation IF we turn to and obey Him!

I love u all! Im just gonna attach some pics now. Have a good week!

AUGUST 10, 2021 — ONE MONTH DOWN

Time is absolutely flying here in Salt Lake City. I love being able to focus my entire life, time, and attention to helping God's children find joy in His Son  Jesus Christ.

2 Ne 2:15 says "But behold, the Lord hath redeemed my soul from hell; I have beheld his glory, and I am encircled about eternally in the arms of his love"

Remember this this week. He loves you so perfectly. When no one else understands, He does. Turn to Him! THIS is why Im serving a mission. To help anyone who will hear me to know this and have the same joy and peace I do.

I love you!
